Joint Intellect

Joint Intellect is an interactive work commissioned by Feihe (飞鹤) for its pop-up event popularizing scientific knowledge of brain growth at Aranya in Beidaihe. The work is visually inspired by the neural network structure. Delaunay triangulation is used to plan the potential connecting paths between all the white dots that represent the brain cells. Kwok programs the generative system to make the tree-like neuron grow and spread out across the triangular network, visualizing the brain development through a digital aesthetic way of expression.

The Audience are also invited to interact with the installation. Every touch on the neuron would generate a signal, paired with a music note, which passes onto its neighboring neurons, creating a chain reaction.

Joint Intellect is created and programmed using Processing / Java.
