Zero One

Created in Jun.2018

Zero One is a code-based generative video commissioned by Zero One Technology Festival 2018 in Shenzhen, PR China. In this project, I collaborate with L.A. based producer / music technologist Mike Gao.

This project consists of multiple interlinked generative systems, each of which has its customized features, but collectively share the core concept of an evolving elementary cellular automaton.

The entire video is programmed and generated using Processing with minor edits in Premiere during composition.

Hello, my name is Sunghyun and I live in South Korea.
I am a college student studying interactive design.
I learned to process at school, and it’s the most amazing video I’ve ever seen using processing. I’m very impressed with this video.
So if you don’t mind, I’d like to study how it works. Could you please share the key code?
It will be very helpful to me.
I’d appreciate it if you could answer me. Have a good day.

    • Hi Sunghyun,

I haven’t opened the project source code for Zero One yet unfortunately. But you can check out my OpenP5 page https://www.openprocessing.org/user/12203 where I share source code of some of my experiments and sketches.

Hi, my name is Lucy. I am a Multimedia student and im making a research for a college work where i should choose a project using Processing to talk about. I liked your project 1194D^3 and i would like to talk about it but there’s not much information about it here. Could you give me more information (like the concept, a description of the process and the goals)? Thank you and congratulations for your amazing work!
